Join Pastor Christian this week in the Bible Hour
This week in The Bible Hour we go deep inside “The Roots of Holy War” as we see the first clear separation between Isaac, Abraham’s son and the spiritual heir of the Jewish Faith, and Ishmael, Abraham’s son who became the heir of the Muslim faith.
What were God’s instructions to Abraham regarding this separation, and how can we be sure that Isaac is the true heir of the Abrahamic Covenant and not Ishmael?
This week in The Bible Hour we answer those questions as we dig through the depths of Genesis 21.
Be sure to be there at 8:00 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. in The Rock Auditorium!
Join Pastor Christian Sunday Evenings

This week at The Journey Pastor Christian begins to dig the depths of scripture’s greatest psalm, Psalm 51.
In this Psalm we see King David, a man after God’s own heart, who finds himself in a horribly sinful situation that has ruined the lives of many people around him. In fact, because of David’s sin, many people had lost their lives, including David’s own son.
How exactly does a Christian come to God for forgiveness when they have caused such hurt in the lives of others. More importantly, how does a Christian fall so deeply into a life of sin?
This Sunday night at 5:00 p.m. Pastor Christian will begin answering both of these questions in a two-part message on Psalm 51.
You will not want to miss either part of this fascinating message.
Be sure to be in attendance this week at The Journey so you can answer the questions, “How Does a Christian Fall So Deeply Into Sin?” and “How to Ask For God’s Forgiveness When Your Sin Has Ruined the Lives of Others?”.
You will never forget the truths of these powerful messages.
Bible Hour Pot Luck September 2009
Devotional
God fights for us, and will pick us up when we fail Him, He does forget where we started, or where He wants us to go. HE knows where we are weak, and will use times of failure to build us spiritually to be more effective for Him.
Fear, and uncertainty can cause us to see the situation from our own eyes, and not God's. God knows every situation we face, and waits for us to call on Him. He knows we need Him and will come and lead us if we let Him.
12Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
We do not need to worry about "how" we will get through any situation, God already knows. We only need to look to Him and not look to ourselves for direction, and wisdom.
When we choose God in times of weakness we choose to reach out and grab the power of God and let Him work in us and through us to strengthen our heart and mind for Him. Strength that others will see, and be blessed by our faith, what God has done in our lifeand what He could do for them.
What are we showing to others? Do they see the power of God inour life and our choices?
Reaching out to God each day we allow Him to grow us up spiritually, building us up to be effective disciples giving testimony of His work and the truth of His word. It is there we will find Him; it is there He will speak to us, it is there He will lead us.
26 My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
How do we learn to trust Him if we do not seek Him? How do we learn to love Him if we do not let Him work in us?
Philippians 1:6
6being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
We will stumble,we will fall, and we will fail, but God is faithful, and will not to let us go. He will fight for us, and not give up until we are on the path that leads us to Him, and the plan He has for the life He gave to us and the life He wants to lead.
John 10:28-29
28And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand.
